Global Generation: Teamwork for a Juster World.

Many hands are necessary in order to create a juster world. Global Generation is a partner-based project of four non-governmental organisations in Germany, Austria and Hungary. 

All project partners do have long-lasting expericence in development oder peace-pedagogical education.

BOCS Foundation (Bokor Oko Csoport Alapitvany)

The Hungarian Non-Profit-Organisation BOCS (BOCS Alapítvány) was founded in 1975 and is comitted to sustainable development. The goal of the foundation is the encouragement of civil society in Eastern-Middle-Europe.

The key aspects of the work are Global Learning, Environment and Peace, Development and Humand Rights. BOCS is active at local, national and international levels. Together with partners form the global South and with partners from the EU, BOCS ist working with different initiatives for a better future.

Brücke/Most-Foundation

The Brücke/Most-Foundation was founded 1997 with the objective of advancing the cooperation with the Czech Republic and other Eastern-Middle-European States. Cultural offers, educational offers, publications and exhibitions shall contribute to intercultural understanding.

With regards to content the focus is on common experiences of people from different cultures. With the Brücke/Most-Center, the education and meeting place of the foundation, a place for intercultural meetings is offered.

Weltfriedensdienst e.V.

Since its foundation in 1959, the Weltfriedensdienst (WFD) has been supporting initiatives and projects in the countries of the global South, in which people work actively and self-determined for the improvement of their living and environment conditions. The Weltfriedensdienst understands its work as a commitment to fight the extreme unjust distribution of social wealth which is mainly caused by unjust structures of the world economy. The WFD also wants to initiate with his work processes of development in the North. Together with initiatives in the global South and the global North, the WFD stands up for social justice, the compliance with human rights, die equal promotion of women and men in development processes as well as a resource saving, sustainable agriculture.

The South African Non-Governmental-Organisation is lobbying for better living conditions for the people in the conflict region Kwa Zulu Natal. The organisation is connecting traditional methods with modern concepts of conflict transformation. The three main working areas are peace work, fight against poverty and HIV/Aids.

STEPS

The initiative STEPS (Social Transformation and Empowerment Projects) is a South Afrikan non-profit organisation and consists of international and South African film-makers who produce a common collection of documentaries and short films. Film-exhibitions, information exchange and learning from each other about HIV/Aids, equality between the sexes and human rights shall help to contain the HIV/Aids Pandemia in southern Africa.
